Create Absence Record window
Purpose
Use this window to mark a student absent from a scheduled class.
To access this window
Right click on a class on the Scheduling window and click Add Absence.

Item descriptions
Item | Description |

Student | Allows you to select the absent student from a list of registered students. |
Date Range |
Enter the range of dates the student will be (or has been) absent. If the student will (or did) miss only one class, enter the date of that class in both boxes. To quickly enter today's date, press T on your keyboard. To quickly back-date or forward-date by one day, use the Hyphen key (-) and Equal key (=) on your keyboard (alternatively, use the Minus Sign and Plus Sign keys on your keyboard number pad). To quickly back-date or forward-date by one month, use the Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard. This box supports F6 functionality; the Choose Date window opens. |

Allows you to describe the student's absence using a list of available absence reasons. Absence reasons are established on the Add/Change Absence Reasons window. |
Item | Description |

OK | Applies the absence code to the student record. |
Cancel | Exits the window. |
